Dear Audrey’s Place Foundation,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in providing the Don McLauchlin Memorial Nursing Award. I am deeply grateful for your generosity in providing this scholarship and your belief in my potential. 

I am currently a first-year student at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Although there are many streams of nursing I feel compelled to, my biggest dream is to one day work within our communities and increase harm reduction strategies. 

Pursing my academic journey at the age of 24 has been a challenge. However, your support has been instrumental in helping me alleviate the financial burden associated with continuing my education, and for that, I am forever appreciative. Thanks to your support, I am able to focus more on my academic and career goals, ensuring that I become the best nurse I possibly can be. 

I assure you that your investment in my education will not be taken lightly as I am committed to my nursing career that lies ahead. I am a strong believer in paying it forward and I hope to one day do for someone that you have done for me. 

I cannot thank you enough for your support. Your kindness has made a significant impact on my life. I look forward to one day be able to express my gratitude in person.
